Abstract

Urolithiasis is a common disease that can lead to chronic kidney disease in children. Especially, underlying metabolic and anatomic risk factors causing urolithiasis are tendency for Stone recurrence in children. Therefore, determining of risk factors give rise to chance for evidence based treatment and follow-up. The treatment strategy based on underlying disorder(s) may lead to low rate of Stone recurrence. In this review, we are going to stres on the physiopathology, clinical and laboratory findings, follow-up, and management strategy of urolithiasis in children.
