Abstract
Nephrectomy can be counted as the most common minimal invasive intervention performed by surgeons who are interested in pediatric urology. Nowadays, endoscopic nephrectomy is the gold standard treatment alternative for benign kidney diseases.
Transperitoneal laparoscopic nephrectomy and heminephrectomy have been preferred in pediatric age group because of shorter operative and hospital stay time, better cosmetic results and faster return to daily activities as the experience is accumulated in minimal invasive surgery experience.
