Abstract

Neuropathic bladder dysfunction is a clinical condition developed especially secondary to spina bifida in children. The neurologic injury causes distruption of basic bladder function facing the patient with distruption of renal function in the long term as well. Urodynamics is a pressure flow study which is helpful in the delineation of these functional problems, indications of treatment and risk factors. The aim of this review is to identify the urodynamic findings related with pathophysiology in neuropathic bladder dysfunction. With these properties, urodynamics is still retaining its importance in the diagnosis and treatment of neuropathic bladder dysfunction.
