Abstract

Testicular torsion is usually an emergency condition presenting in puberty. Here we present an undescended testicular torsion case presenting with abdominal pain.

A 9 year old boy presented with abdominal pain. He recieved enemas for treatment of constipation and gas distention. Three days later he prevental with inguinal pain and swelling. Surgery demonstrated a left undescended testis that had undergone torsion. A left orchidopexy was performed but due to atrophy, orchiechtomy was performed 3 months later.

All children presenting with abdominal pain should have detailed evaluation of the inguinoscrotal region.
