Abstract

Ingestion of foreign bodies is common in children. Most of the swallowed foreign bodies pass through gastrointestinal tract without problem. Swallowing multipl magnets can lead to complications like pressure necrosis, perforation, obstruction and fistula. If multipl magnet ingestion is detected magnets must be removed by applying emergency endoscopic procedures when they are in stomach. If they have passed through the pylorus and if there are intestinal obstruction symptoms, emergency surgery must be performed. Early surgical intervention can reduce morbidity and avoid mortality. We report a case who had diagnosis of intestinal perforation due to multipl neodmium magnet ingestion.
