Abstract
The developments in pediatric surgery have resulted in widespread use of minimal invasive techniques in colorectal abnormalities. Minimal invasive techniques have been used in many pathologies, from a simple colostomy to complicated total proctocolectomy. Minimally invasive interventions have been used prevalently in pathologies such as Hirschsprung’s Disease and anorectal malformations. They are preferred because of shorter hospital stay, less postoperative analgesic need and good cosmetic results.
