Abstract

Renal tumors including Wilms’ tumor, neuroblastic tumors, rhabdomyosarcoma, adrenocortical tumors, liver tumors and gonadal tumors are most frequentlyly evaluated pediatric oncological surgical diseases by pediatric pathologists. Each of these pediatric oncological surgical diseases has its own specific histopathologic evaluation criteria. Histopathological evaluation of these pediatric tumors done by experienced pediatric pathologists who focused on pathology of pediatric tumors carry importance so as to plan oncological therapy and to evaluate data derived from multidisciplinary approach. In this article, the pathology of common pediatric oncological surgical diseases were reviewed through currently used histopathological methods.
