Abstract

Most of gynaecological malignancies originate from ovaries, and nearly 10 % of them are malignant tumors. Germ cell tumors are the most common histological type among malignant ovarian tumours. Stages of ovary sparing surgery can be achieved fully in cases selected based on the evaluation of preoperative radiological imaging and tumour markers, and medical treatment based on histological characteristics of tumour can sustaine high rates of survival, and acceptable levels of fertility.
