Abstract

Pancreatic laceration caused by blunt abdominal trauma is relatively rare and there is no standard treatment approach. In this report, a patient with near-total pancreatic duct rupture in close proximity to pancreatic caput/corpus junction after a fall from bicycle is described as well as the presenting symptoms, clinical follow up, and diagnostic and conservative treatment process.
