Abstract

In this review, surgical and endoscopical treatment modalities in different VUR patterns in childhood are discussed and some practical points are mentioned.

Due to recent developments in endoscopic techniques and minimal invasive surgical procedures, there has been a remarkable change in the treatment protocols of VUR in pediatric age group. Instead of long-lasting antibiotherapy regimens and serial follow-up exams, at least some groups can be easily treated by endoscopic or minimally invasive surgical interventions.
